I dont think it has anything to do with English.įair enough, but don't you agree that a sarcastic comment leads to a negative attitude of the thread overall? I've seen plenty of occasions where that one comment completely dislodges any helpful comments to follow. (other things stores would be the boot order, RAM capacity, HDD capacity, and your system clock of these the system clock being the most important). It provides a small convenience, but isn't vitally necessary unless you require a BIOS password on the device. The CMOS battery gives just enough juice to a small chip on your motherboard to save a small set of data, things that are saved within your BIOS. Asking for more information is acceptable, but starting any thread with a sarcastic comment sets the tone wrong for any future comments.Īs others have posted, removing the CMOS battery will be your best option.Īllow me to explain why this is your best option. Please be respectful of other spiceworks users, not everyone has English as a first language and posting here can be a struggle.
